CONRAD program
CONRAD is dedicated to improving reproductive health, particularly in developing countries where the need is greatest, by supporting the development of better, safer, and more acceptable methods to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS. The program offers both financial support as well as technical assistance for the various stages of product development. Research is conducted at CONRAD's preclinical facility and Clinical Research Center at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and in collaboration with investigators at universities, research institutions, and private companies worldwide.
